Best Family Vacation Destinations Around the World
Holidays are meant to be the most fun time’s people have in their lives. However, with the number of different places that parents can go along with their children to have a good time, it is difficult to shortlist, which are the best family vacation destinations. Let us face it. The travel and tourism industry has grown leaps and bounds over the last few decades and today, you will find even the most comfortable and most urban of comforts in the unlikeliest of places. However, there are still concerns whether such and such place is good for a vacation, especially when there is a small child or small children to take care of.
When one is searching through the best family vacation destinations online, one definite form of help would be to look at the top 10 holiday destinations. These destinations are often categorized under different classifications. While some top 10 lists might feature different features of a particular country, there will be some other lists that compare then entire countries with each other. A good example of a popular search on the internet is the top 10 Sweden tourist attractions, or the top 10 countries for wine tasting or the top 10 best adventure theme parks.

Do you think it is easy to live your home (and family and friends) and travel half way around the world?
just to fing a job..because in your home country there are none.., and you are persecuted..???
Do you think it is when you do not know the language, and you don’t know anybody???
But you must leave your home country because there is no chance for you there, and you only want to better yourself, and surport your family..
Why do Americans think that (illegal) immigrants have it easy, and make the choice to leave their country lighttly???
OBEY THE LAW OR NOT?????? Visit sites like hazara.net and see what life is like for the persecuted Afghans, this happens in many countries not just Afghanistan. Research the facts on immigration/asylum before making sweeping remarks on refugees, asylum seekers and Muslims. The extremist Muslims are a tiny minority of a huge religion, why tar them all with the same brush and place them into this category the media have placed them into. I’m white English, does that make me a football hooligan? Many small minded people oversease place us all in this box and it’s not nice, I’m also catholic, Irish decent, that means i’m an IRA bomber and an English football hooligan yeah, NO it doesn’t.
What is the best / cheapest way for my son to stay in contact with family as he travels around the world?
I’m thinking of mobile phone / twitter, etc, but scared by high roaming charges
Yep, I agree. Skype is best. Make sure to get a webcam or use the one on your laptop. It’s nice for holidays. MSN messenger also allows chat with voice and webcam. Free. But you both have to be online at the same time.
With skype, make sure that you try the skype forwarding. My husband has it and it forwards all your skype calls to your cell or home phone.
Good luck!
How did an average small-town american family travel around in the US in the 70′s? (car, plane?)?
It is for a project, where are trying to find out how a family got from their small hometown to i.e. Disney World and how they planned the trap. Internet sources with information about it would be appreciated.
Here in the rural Midwest. We traveled shorter distances-say 500-1000 miles via car.
And yes-even motor homes.
For longer trips we flew. And if not familiar with our destination booked reservations through a travel agency.
Certainly did not have the luxury of using the internet. Looking back though-does not seem to have been that difficult. Perhaps even easier.
how does the royal family travel around the world is it by private jet?
They hardly fly on standard airlines do they
The Queen used to sometimes take public transit, but after 9-11 she is no longer permitted. She does not go overseas as much, but when she does a private jet is chartered. If it is a major state or commonwealth visit, then it is usually a full size jet chartered from British Airways. For short or domestic trips she is sometimes taken by VIP aircraft that belong to the Royal airforce. These planes are getting very old (over 25 years) and this mode of travel will be eliminated one of these years.
The only aircraft that is in long term charter (10 years at a time) is a Sikorsky 76C++ helicopter which can carry 12 uncomfortably, has been modified to carry 8 in some style. The helicopter is painted in the royal claret, and has the royal insignia. While the younger royals may fly the helicopter as far as Scotland, the Queen finds it uncomfortable and noisy to go that distance.
While the other royals also charter jets, a private jet big enough to have a bedroom and capable of crossing the ocean is very very expensive. The standard mode is to travel on a scheduled flight (first class) with a small party, and then if necessary to board a small private jet to traverse the few thousand miles at the local destination.
Royals pay roughly £1,800 per hour to charter a helicopter if the royal copter is unavailable
£1,138- £1,846 an hour for a military jet if available
£4,073 an hour for a small fixed wing jet
£13,832 for a large fixed wing jet capable of transcontinental flight
Prince Charles has spent the most on charters, once leasing two large jets for long trips to South
America and Asia in one year at a cost of over £630,000 for each trip.
The Duke of York as international trade ambassador had the following expenses for jet aircraft last year (international flights only) does not include meals and hotels
£41,997 Military jet – London to Middle East
£11,148 Charter flight
£54,869 Charter flight
£94,500 Charter flight
£28,767 Charter flight
£20,083 Charter flight
£62,092 Charter flight
£43,989 Charter flight
£23,586 Charter flight
£46,264 Charter flight
£21,153 Scheduled flight – New York
£22,644 Scheduled flight – Singapore- Delhi
£13,070 Scheduled flight – Moscow – Abu Dhabi
£7,406 Scheduled flight – Bombay, Calcutta
£5,333Staff Scheduled flight
£10,548Staff Scheduled flight
£11,613Staff Scheduled flight
As I stated above, he normally flies to a destination on a scheduled flight with his team, and then charters a plane to take him around the local destinations (which can involve flight lengths of hundreds to thousands of miles).
